Your life stays on your device.

Who we are

Celeste is made by MindHive Co. Questions about privacy go to hello@mindhiveco.com.

Celeste, the app

Celeste runs on your own device. There is no account to make.

• Stays on your device: your conversations, what she remembers about you, your notes, reminders, and any pictures or files you give her. None of it is uploaded to us or to any company cloud.
• Not used for training: we never receive your conversations, so they can't be used to train any AI.
• Pictures and files are looked at on your device and never sent anywhere.

When Celeste goes online

Talking, her voice, her memory and your notes all work without the internet. She only goes online for these things:

• Live answers and research mode: she sends your search to a web search provider and reads the pages it finds, the same as you would in a browser.
• MindHive: for public questions she sends a few keywords and gets back what other Celestes have already found. When she finds a public answer on the web, she adds it to MindHive (the answer and where it came from) so every Celeste can use it. Your actual words and anything personal are never sent. Questions that sound personal (anything about "my", your family, your name, or places you've told her about) are blocked on your device, and blocked again by MindHive. MindHive doesn't keep a record of who asked.
• First run and updates: she downloads her brain files the first time you start her, and fetches updates.

This website

• No tracking: this site has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies.
• Fonts: the lettering on this site loads from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch it.

Buying Celeste

When you pay, the payment provider handles your card details. We receive what's needed to send your download and licence key, such as your email address, and your order number (that's how founding cells are numbered).

We only email you about your purchase, unless you tick the box at checkout to hear about new MindHive Co products. You can unsubscribe from those any time.
